PD41 Peveril Castle & Mam Tor A summer morning view of Peveril Castle and mam tor near Castleton. Taken from the other side of cavedale this shows what an ideal site for a castle this is, the only non steep (or cliff) approach is a narrow spur to the left of the tower. Manm tor is visible beyond as is the bank of cloud approaching which was overhead within the hour. Back to section
