Surprise View Sunburst over Hathersage PDP50
Surprise View Sunburst over Hathersage PDP50
A quick burst of sun through an overcast sky near Hathersage. Taken from just below the Surprise View you can see Offerton edge to the left, the north hill of Hathersage itself bottom right, winhill behind this and (just) losehill in the distance in the centre. Kinder Scout is barely visible as a silhouette. I get a lot of requests for the 'surprise view' but this is the best I have got so far. It is an impressive view but tends to look flat when photographed, the sun and shade here give it more depth.
