Salt Cellar on Derwent Edge to Kinder Scout PD86
A summer afternoon shot looking west from the Salt Cellar on Derwent Edge, with Kinder Scout plateau visible beyond. Shot looking almost directly into the sun required some shade and a graduated filter to darken the sky and prevent lens flare. The forground rocks help break up the heather and a couple of cloud shadows help 'unflatten' the distant hills.
