Peveril Castle Mam Tor & Winnats Pass Snowy PD139

A winter morning shot looking north west from cavedale near Castleton. this is taken from not far back from the edge of the steep sided gorge and gives us the wall, snow and shadows in the foreground. It shows Peveril Castle with winnats pass visible to the left and mam tor up to the right. This was taken on a walk from Hope to the top of winnats pass and by the time I had got to the pass the snow had all but gone on the south facing slopes, you have to be quick nowadays when it snows.
