About Us

I was born in Darley Dale in 1968 and lived in Stoney Middleton untill moving to Sheffield to complete an Engineering Physics Degree. Jobs in Research, Quality Assurence, Heavy Industry, Piano Restoration, Milk Delivery, Outdoor Equipment retail and Pre-Press followed before now working 2 days part time at eco eco and the rest of the time for myself, including 3 days at Pictures & Books.
A lifelong interest in photography along with walking and climbing has led me to take more and more landscape shots around the Peak District area in which I live, initially with an SLR film camera and Scanner and for the last few years with a Digital SLR camera.
Encouraged by my wife Laura (also the accountant!) we have begun to print some of these as cards and larger mounted and framed prints and sell these via several local shops and via stalls in craft tents at events around Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. It has all gone from there with a few more good (and a lot of bad) shots since.
When not on an unusually sunny Bleaklow looking east I also give talks to photographic societies and teach field photography and computer post-processing in Photoshop and Lightroom.
